Stop Exploitative Overdevelopment in Deerfield Beach

What is Exploitative Over-development?

Overdevelopment benefits only greedy developers—at the expense of our community. It lowers property values, decreases safety for people and traffic, disrupts neighborhoods, and diminishes the character of Deerfield Beach.

How Is This Happening?
Answer: **Quiet Rezoning.**

Developers thrive on the public being unaware of city-led rezoning decisions.

Who's Responsible?

City officials who approve these zoning changes enable developers to push through massive, unwanted, and unsafe projects—while claiming they’re "helping" us.

STOP EXPLOITATIVE OVERDEVELOPMENT IN DEERFIELD BEACH

The City of Deerfield Beach has encouraged exploitative overdevelopment in two adjacent neighborhoods, separated by train tracks and connected by NE 2nd St. (Eller St.). On one side, the AXIS project; on the other, Vista Clara. Together, these proposed developments total 563 units, bringing an estimated 1,000+ cars daily into an already congested area. A 2020 New Pelican report estimated Vista Clara alone will generate 1,775 trips per day!

The Traffic Nightmare

  • NE 2nd St. will be overwhelmed with additional traffic during rush hours and school drop-offs/pick-ups.
  • Access to these complexes will be further clogged by entry gates that stop traffic every time a car badges in.
  • The new Chick-fil-A opening in March will add even more traffic congestion.

Who Pays the Price?

This kind of overdevelopment benefits out-of-state developers at the expense of Deerfield Beach residents. It degrades property values, strains infrastructure, and diminishes quality of life in our neighborhoods. And how was this made possible? Rezoning.

Who Allowed This to Happen? See the Video Below!

The city’s leadership enabled this by approving zoning changes that put profit over people. It’s disingenuous to claim that these projects benefit us when they have only burdened our community.

Don’t have a Mayor who sleeps with developers

TLDR:  Deerfield Beach Mayoral Candidate Todd Drosky admits to being cozy with developers, particularly the Batmasions, who own Investments Limited.

Investments limited will own Deerfield Beach if Todd Drosky gets elected March 11.

After my confrontation with him, he was seen at the ultra exclusive Chops Lobster Bar in East Boca with the Batmasians, owners of Investments Limited.
